Georgia Pellegrini was born into a culinary lifestyle. As a kindergartener, she was taken care of by an Italian woman, who cooked often, while Georgia watched from underneath the table. She vividly remembers smelling the food from underneath the table, and devouring pastina (a pasta porridge) and broccoli with cheese.
The food from Georgia’s childhood transformed her into the foodie she is today.
“My cooking style is the kind of food you would find in your grandma’s kitchen. It’s seasonal, nourishing, and simple. I want food where the pure ingredients speak for themselves,” Georgia said.
This Thanksgiving, she’s whipping up a cranberry relish to bring to her relatives’ house in Texas. They’ll be serving some good Southern-style food, but Georgia wanted to bring something more New England for some balance.
From Thanksgiving dinner to her OpenSky shop, Georgia’s always bringing something one-of-a-kind to her friends and followers.
“OpenSky is about finding unique, cool and interesting things. I love that I can offer my finds to my followers. I want to bring beautiful, artisan products to OpenSky and introduce them to the small companies who make them,” Georgia said.
